Description: This class will teach your students not only the intricacies of narrative comprehension and analysis, but will also introduce them to the skills necessary to create their very own short stories! The curriculum will consist of reading and writing comprehension through immersive read-alouds, activities, and discussions. Here, students will not only be exposed to essential literary skills such as foreshadowing, personification, and allegories, but also delve into the art of expressing themselves through their own writing. From crafting imaginative stories to descriptive settings, our comprehensive approach ensures a holistic development of both reading and writing abilities. Your student will learn to compare and contrast, identify themes, and effectively retell and summarize stories, enabling a greater ability to analyze and understand what they read - an absolutely invaluable skill to possess in life. THIS IS A FULL YEAR CLASS SPLIT INTO 2 SEMESTERS. EACH SEMESTER REQUIRES A PAYMENT. Cancellation Policy
All classes must be paid in full before attendance. Once classes have started, cancellations and refunds are not permitted. However, requests for transfers may be considered. Transfers will be subject to availability and must be completed within the first two weeks of the course.
